Client Need

As our client company continues to grow and scale, more team members are being promoted into roles requiring strong foundational leadership and managerial capabilities. Recognizing this shift, our client saw an opportunity to invest in developing critical skills across the go-to-market (GTM) organization—preparing emerging leaders for long-term success.

Many of these new leaders had limited experience managing people and minimal exposure to formal leadership training.

To build a strong leadership bench, the program focused on key priorities of: defining and embodying great leadership, coaching for both performance and personal growth, and navigating the various dimensions of leadership—shifting seamlessly between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution.

Our Solution

To strengthen first-line leadership capabilities, Thoughtium partnered with the client to design a tailored development journey. We began by conducting 50+ interviews with leaders across functions—from executives to front-line managers—to gather insights on the behaviors, mindsets, and skills foundational to effective leadership.

Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, we synthesized these insights to uncover team strengths, development opportunities, and what a meaningful leadership experience should look like in their specific context.

The resulting leadership journey included three core components:

Live Two-Day Learning Experience

Leaders came together for an immersive, hands-on experience focused on essential leadership capabilities. Through real-time practice, discussion, and reflection with peers, participants gained confidence and clarity in applying these skills to their roles.

‍Group Coaching Sessions

Following the two-day experience, Thoughtium facilitated small-group peer coaching sessions to reinforce the learning. These sessions created space for leaders to apply tools to real-world scenarios, explore challenges in a supportive environment, and build community through shared reflection and feedback.

Closing Capstone

The journey concluded with a live capstone session that brought the full cohort back together to celebrate wins, share key takeaways, and identify new commitments to guide their continued leadership growth.
