Client Need

Faced with rapid industry shifts, evolving client demands, and the need for greater cross-functional alignment, a global media agency recognized the importance of Situational Leadership in their dynamic business environment. Committed to driving high performance, fostering innovation, and enhancing team collaboration, the team aimed to become a more effective and accountable leadership team. To support these goals, they desired a customer leadership development experience that would support their commitments and strengthen collaboration.

The Solution

The global media agency brand partnered with Thoughtium to design and deliver a progressive Leadership Development program that focused on building Situational Leadership skills for their top 70 senior leaders.

The objective of the program was to upskill the brand’s most influential leaders on critical leadership effectiveness skills for a stronger, more unified senior leadership team. 

To meet those objectives, we leveraged our core Situational Intelligence experience, a highly rated experience recommended by more than 1,000 participants since its inception. This experience is designed to develop leaders’ ability to drive business outcomes through empathy, agility, and influence in today’s dynamic work environment.

To ensure relevance and applicability, we customized the Situational Intelligence experience to align with the unique needs of this senior leadership team. This included:

Situational Intelligence 3-Phase Leadership Development Program 

Driving business outcomes through empathy, agility, and influence in today’s dynamic work environment.

  • Workshop 1: Empathy
    • Increase alignment by understanding and relating to the perspectives, experiences, and emotions of others.
  • Workshop 2: Agility
    • Meet the moment by adapting our communication styles to the situational scenario and effectively engage with others.
  • Workshop 3: Influence
    • Strengthen partnerships by communicating the unique insights and opportunity of our stakeholders’ needs.

Group Coaching Sessions

After learning new skills and frameworks, Thoughtium facilitated peer coaching and advisory sessions after each workshop to put learning into practice and further build community within this senior leadership team. This unique format allowed leaders to apply their learning to real-world leadership scenarios and gain feedback from peers on their approach.

The program drove significant progress, with 90% of leaders reporting that they feel more confident in how to address situations as they arise and adapt to the moment accordingly.
